The Language of Motion in ISSEY MIYAKE’s Men’s Fashion Design

When it comes to creativity, few can match HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE. Over the past few years, this brand has showcased its men’s clothing collection in Paris. This Fall-Winter 2024 season, the collection was presented at Palais de Tokyo in an iconic setting, inviting viewers into a vast space illuminated by natural light streaming through skylights. As attendees took their seats, they walked past HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE clothing pieces hanging on the walls throughout the runway. Invited guests were encouraged to come closer and witness the soon-to-land fashion creations up close.

Titled “Immerse in the Wild World of Creativity,” this collection continues to explore the transformation of creative ideas into clothing designs. At the core of the brand, the collections often celebrate the relationship between concepts and their realization. The process of translating creative imagery goes beyond turning them into patterns and motifs; it’s about creating captivating pieces that harmonize with the wearer. HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE consistently seeks to showcase its works in every moment, bringing forth an elegant and refined beauty. FW24 is a testament to the brand’s craftsmanship, with its iconic pleated fabric that not only stands out but also evokes desire.

In a collaborative creative session with designer/artist Ronan Bouroullec, the collection includes pieces that reflect his artwork. Incorporating dynamic color highlights and patterns into the products, the brand’s refined approach to the creative process breathes life into traditional pleated styles while also introducing new silhouettes through layering and innovative designs.
